Round 1 to Bikies

Post by Naked Twin »

Well they got it passed, now it would appear part of the laws are not legal.

Disappointing thing here is the reality of these laws was that they didn't encroach on the law abiding citizen, the new ones may.

Will see what happens in round 2

Dave you did, you did say so. I think that was the general consensus that these laws were rushed through without due process.

It should also be noted that to date no one who is a law abiding citizen has been affected by these laws in SA or NSW, so all the carry on about not being able to ride or associate in groups was just hype.

Will see what happens next.

What happens next Nick is the government just re-writes the laws. When that gets thrown out, they re-write the laws etc, etc.

It's a win for the bikies for now, but you can bet your arse it won't be a win in the long run. The government will be like a rabid dog now.

I just hope they get it right this time and not react emotionally and go after them like a rabid dog. Never had a problem with the laws in the first place as I am not an outlaw bikie.

It should be noted the laws whilst different in NSW haven't been applied or in effect in acted, so no one should be complaining about a law that doesn't exist. Typical NSW government, make a law and then don't know how to apply it.

If there were no laws there would be no outlaws, or in-laws and ex-wives for that matter :D

Plenty of cops out there presume you are guilty of some thing, they just haven't worked out exactly what yet

I hope the laws are re-written, and written well. As I've said all along I'm not opposed to the sentiment behind these laws, I'm only opposed to the ridiculous way they were written.
