spark plugs change on the 06 zx10
just wondering if its true if you need to drop the engine to change spark plugs.thanks

yea mine is due to, but i was told that the engine have to be dropped out of the frame and it cost around $800 if is true its not worth it to do that every 12000km

Is there a funny looking elbow sparkplug tool in your toolkit?...If not I'm guessing they didn't bother as it's a motor out job.....

yep you need to remove the side engine mounts at the very least

it is extremely fiddley, but as Blurr says, remove the side engine mounts.

nah it's not hard just time consuming. You can pick up the plugs for about $20 (X 4 =$80 just to be clear) each here in OZ or cheaper online. Then spend about maybe 2 hours (for first timers) to pull all the fairing off and take the engine mounts off. Simple.

tank, airbox (an art in itself) then the top right and left engine mounts to be able to slide the rubber coils out.

sounds its not that hard az i thought. thanks for help. hope i don't stuff nothing else but i will give it a go one of this days when i get enough balls to attempt it.LOL thanks anyway
