Yep.. I dropped Buzz.

Long story short.. Leaving home last Monday night, jump on the bike and theres about 10 people and some kids kicking a soccer ball in the carpark. Stupid kids, yes, but away from me, so no problemo.. Do a U-turn, all is going well until i straighten up and slowly squeez the front brake on. TIMBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Over to the Right we went and "Crunch". It happened in slow-motion and as we went down, in my mind, my L's instructor and his little beard shook his head furiously along with *tsk tsk* "what did i teach you?"
After having everyone stop and look, but not help, I get her back up on two wheels (which, for me is a feat in itself) and inspect the damage.
Not as bad as i thought, but still

The indicators didnt even get scratched!! They just hit the ground and the pressure transferred and busted in the faring. Just my newest excuse to get slimline LED's, crash Knobs and my custom stickers made up

Thinking to myself "Dammit, okay i can deal with this" I Jump on, head out to the Bf's trying not to get upset. I didnt swear (wtf? believe it or not!) but I did say sorry over and over and over to her and promised her I'd get her fixed before summer, so she'd be looking hot again! Show the Bf, he's a little unimpressed, but as we've all said "it was bound to happen". I didnt swear (wtf? believe it or not!) but I did say sorry over and over and over to her and promised her I'd get her fixed before summer, so she'd be looking hot again!
A bit of a restless night of sleep followed. Go out into the Garage in the morning to ride to work, Helmet on, Bag On, Gloves on, Ignition On, go to start her up and a big gust of wind came from my right hand side and over we went again. My left ankle got trapped under the bike as we went down and is a lovely shade of Purple and Blue, but am more concerned about the damage casued to Buzz.
I had a bit of a cry when I got to work (I'm a girl after all) But stealing a cagers parking spot made me feel a little better. I know I'm not the first one to drop their bike, and certainly not the last, but It was MY first drop on MY Bike. But I guess you could say I've broken the Learners Curse. She still rides fine, indicators (as horrifically ugly as they are) still work, and if you're close enough in traffic to notice the damage, then I've just run you over and get out from under my bike!!!
