how much does the package weigh? I have a EFM (Electronic Franking Machine) at work which is what the posties use to frank (or stamp) the mail. If you give me the weight i can work it out to the cent (australia dollars of course). Remember though this would be going from Sydney TO the UK.

Also, almost all sellers on Ebay sell there items cheaper then they are probably worth and then hype up the postage so you think your getting a good deal. I'm sure you've seen camera's, mobile phones, TV's etc selling really cheap then the postage is $100-$200. Apparently Ebay has no problem with this and that condtions are that you should confirm postage costs before purchasing items.

as far as i know the seller does not pay commision on the postage component of the cost that is why they sell really cheap but charge a shitload to send it.

maybe you could get them posted to a friend or something in the UK and pay that friend to post it on to you.

id be inclined to tell the seller to F*** off though.
according to http://www.xe.com 100 pounds equates to $197 aud.

good luck with it

Yeah if he don't back down tell him to get stuffed and you'll be putting up bad feedback, that is absolutely rediculous I have had clothes sent from the UK, big coats etc and they have cost nowhere near that so tell him to stuff his extra money making business up his you know what. What a jerk.

i did a little research and the town hes in is real close to where my girlfriend is staying now and for a few weeks. hes quoted 7 pounds for postage within the UK.
ill get it sent to her.
if he says no to that then ill go down the appeal road.

" hey mate i have a relative in Liverpool right now whos heading back to Australia in a few weeks. can you resend the cost with UK postage and ill pay and supply the address as soon as i get it."

well see how that goes.
