Energy breakthrough bike

Post by chicken_strangler »

hey all
just for those who dont know there is an event run for schools called the energy breakthrough. this event encourages schools to create teams and construct their own bikes which run on variouse forms of energy (pedal/electric/solar etc) and race them against schools from all over australia.
thier is also a category where you may use 2 forms of energy known as the hybrids. A couple of m8s and i have decided to enter a bike in this class that runs on petrol/electric
so far we have constructed a basic frame and attached the motors..at the moment we can get a small electric motor to pump out just over 130k's but this is expected to drop as we build on the bike.
we will be racing the bike over a 24 hour race
i will attach some pics shortly of the bike so far

these bikes take a fair bit of cash to build aswell as costs involved in racing over the weekend. i thought i would ask to see if anybody on the site who may own a buisness or work somewhere which may be interested in sponsering the team. all sponsers are well publicised for thier donations with thier logo placed on the bike relative to thier donation or contribution and printed over our team shirts and on a large banner displayed over the whole weekend.

as i said sponsering may not mean money if your interested anything that could be used or raffled for funds would be greetly appreciated
if anybody is interested can you please PM me with any quistions
also im trying my best to have the bike painted in kwaka green, black and white :kuda:
Peace......Means havin a bigger stick then the other guy.

traveling for so long. The temporal distortions experienced caused a short term memory loss :D

I was in the the Energy Breakthrough way back when I was in high school in Maryborough. We were in the pedal category. The sponsors, organising, build time etc takes a lot of time and effort and I certainly do not have the time! Try finding out how many/what kind of people attend and then if the potential sponsors sell products/services to those people they may get on board. Plan and then sell your project to them, get the dollars/parts/etc and then get to work! Good luck mate. There are some nice roads around the Maryborough/Talbot area, enjoy. I visit my parents every now and then but am a bit fearful as they have that big cop shop in M'gh now and there seem to be more cops on the road. Massive bummer!
King Nicholas. Keeping it unreal.
