Stuck brake light switch

Post by lifeofcrimeguy »

So after replacing the step for the right hand side footpeg, it appears as though the brake light is now permanently on. I'm not 100% sure whether this is something I did when replacing parts or whether it happened in the high-side itself, but I'm guessing the rear-brake light switch is either stuck or broken. Is there something i can do to fix it or is it a replacement job?

From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

it should be adjustable ?? They normally have an adjustment range over 10mm or so ?? Maybe it just needs adjusting..... :kuda:

adjusting or the switch possibly got stuck. Adjust it as Gos suggested. If no love then undo the spring off the lever/switch and give the switch a good shake about and see if that fixes her up.

I mean it can't make it any worse, aside from make it permanently off ;-)

If those suggestions don't work.... I've had one stick before, tiny bit of WD40 on the switch pin/piston fixed things up.
If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
