Hi everyone at KSRC
Hi all, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
I have a big old stock 1995 ZX9R with 90,000kms on it that i have owned since new but has been sitting in the shed collecting dust and providing a safe warm home for a few spiders for the last 5 odd years. I attended the last PCRA race meet at OP to watch a mate compete and that was all I needed to get keen to ride again. I decided to strip all the road gear off the old girl and do a few mods to try and make it look and sound more like a race bike including a full Yoshi system, a carb kit and give the suspension a good overhaul, and start competing in the PCRA Pre Modern F1 class along with doing the odd tack day. If all goes according to plan I should be out at OP for the next PCRA race meet on the 5th July and hopefully I'll be able to meet a few of the KSRC members out there, I'll be the one with no colour co-ordination for my race gear and running the original green/purple/black fairing.
Cheers
Kev

Re: Hi everyone at KSRC
Thanks for the warm welcoming everyone. This certainly seems to be a great club where the passion for Kawasaki's is shared by all. When I started Googling for info about my bike for all the different things I need to do and modify so i can start racing, the KSRC forum would always be in the first page of results. It seemed like if it had to be done, you guys and gals had already discussed it and had a solution. That's when i started to realise I had to be a part of this and I'm glad I am. A big thumbs up to all involved and especially those who got this site up and running and maintain it to such a high standard, well done.
Robracer, I know what you mean about the class of riders contesting in the PMF1 class, I was blown away by the speed and skill of the riders in the class (and all the other classes for that matter) when I saw them compete a few weeks back, very impressive, they'll certainly leave me for dead.

Sorry Dave, thought I did. I think you could safely say she's fully run in by now and ready to go. 90,000kms strong and has never missed a beat. They were certainly made to last and it's been more reliable than anything else I've owned.dave#3 wrote:Welcome Kev. You didn't tell me the old duck had 90,000 km's on it
