Going to the Hills, Any good places to stay?

Post by zx6rider »

Going to ride through the Hills next week on my easter holidays (Reefton, Black spur), will be my first time through the spurs :kuda: , and I was planning to stay down that way somewhere, does anyone know of any bike friendly motels, hotels or just alround great places to stay? I have plenty of time to get there, cost is not really an issue (under $150 per night, and definately not $1000 a night!!!!!).

Thanks guys for any help you have to offer!

Looking forward to 3 days riding in the hills!!!!!!!!!!!!! :kuda:

I'm sure there are a number of hotels in Healesville that will welcome trade. Being only 90 mins from home I could not recommend any though

I'm like Mike, I live close enough that I never stay there. Warburton is also a nice town that has tourist accomodation.

The pub at Alexandra is pretty reasonable if you want to go a bit further north. I've not stayed any further south aside from the Island.

Are all the roads still open through the bushfire affected areas? I heard Toolangi roads are still closed?
