fornt forks

can anyone tell me what the part is called,gpz 750a zx.on the front of the forks it has an adjustment[1,2,3] i know this would control stiffness through the forks,but at the top where the brake line and there is a bleed plug[mine stripped]what is this part called cheers barrie.

From memory it was basically a rebound-on-braking gizmo that they had a bash at using in the 80's, i think 1 was the firmest setting. I just kept mine on #2 and it seemled alright (even though i could barely tell a difference between the 3 settings anyway, so mine may not have worked that wll, or there was marginal difference anyway). I do know that some people just blank them off with a plate and disconnect them entirely and put gold valves in the forks and get it working correctly.

There is an article in this months ClassicBike mag , the UK feb edition on overhauling GPz anti dive valve . Lots of pics and info .
