engine no. location on 06 636

hi folks
dumb question but i couldnt find it last night when inspecting a bike.. wheres the engine number on these things located?


Also - when test riding an 06... is there anything in particular to look outfor? im a little distracted by the significant riding difference between 636 and a 250.. but want to make sure the bike is ok prior to buying.

hi quackk, i just went to the garage to have a look and i found it behind the headers on a flat bit.......if you look through the right side fairing where you can see the headers grab a torch and look there you should see the flat bit i talking about...problem is you wont really be able to see it well unless you take the fairing off or the engine really clean!!! as for what to look for i havent had any problems with mine so i would say the usual.....chain, sprockets, headstem, forks, tyres, regular servicing, etc. someone else might have a particular problem they know about
