Given recent discussions, I believe a poll is required.. :-)

I blame global warming and the price of fuel. Quite a few forums are having a bit of PMT at the minute. It'll pass. ;)

I think it's fine

No forum retains the same old people forever.. it changes, they change, people move on (remind me to get a life :D)

If things stayed the same nobody would ever get divorced :)

I find it hard to make suggestions on how to change the site. If it's moderated more, it will stagnate and won't be any fun. We do actually moderate to a small extent, honest. We could add thousands of stickys and put please use the search function suggestions everywhere, but it won't change how people use the site.

Newbies are going to 'over-post'. It's sort of a reaction to try and fit in with an already established group, I know I did when I joined. Aside from programming in a post restriction (which would be prohibitive to some old members), there isn't much we can do.

All in all we are a diverse bunch of people with varying opinions and a shared love of motorcycling. We just need to offer our best and ignore those who stir us rather than make a scene and sour the site content. No one is going to be liked by everyone, that's just life. If you don't like someone, ignore them - if someone doesn't like you, ignore them.

What we need to do is be active within the site. Ride more, meet socially more and be more than keyboard junkies.

Why fix what isn't fucked? Leave it alone is my vote.

Well it is the time of year for the winter blues and the onset of short days and the lack of sunlight probably doesn't help either.

From a personal point of view I have found myself a new partner and inherited another small child. As a result I now find I'm really busy at work, really really busy at home, and don't have a lot of time for the PC (and I'm sick of the bloody thing after looking at one at work anyway). On the upside I am now having a lot more umm, bedtime...

So it's all good really, but not much time for the forum. I still pop in, but don't get on some days, but others get on for a hour or so. I would be the first to admit that it does seem to be getting a bit stagnant in here, and as I don't read every thread I miss some of the repartee and wonder why certain people seem to get a flogging on here.

Apart from that it's all good really.

Daisy is right - its not just this place that is having PMT at the moment. I am on a few other forums (well, fuckin' heaps actually.... ), and the last week or so has seen a lot of shit goin' down. It will dissapear, as it always does.

Forum members come and go, people get the shits with things, people vent. Its great to watch !!!

Under no circumstances should any sort of 'post-control' be implemented !!! :x :x If there is someone posting here who gives a member the shits, stick them on your 'ignore' list. Thats what its there for.

There is nothing wrong with the forum.

If you have a problem with something or someone, deal wit it. its real easy.

If something about the site pisses you off, let everyone know.

If some one on the site pisses you off, let them know directly.
Let it all out.. who gives a phark!!

Enough of this melrose place bullshit

Thanks to this forum, i"ve met some really nice people and shared many stories and years of knowledge.
You honestly wont get so many people with such great senses of humor all in one place.
Sure, there"s always going to be an idiot here and there, i do my best to ignore them, but if it gets out of hand, simply tell em to fark off!!!

Life is simply too short for this bullshit, honestly. This is school boy stuff.

This is a public forum and your going to get a huge mix of people, and yes some of them will be little immature, inbred, mentally ill, wankers, thats life. ;)

Finally, Dave and the crew, thanks for all the hard work and dedication towards the site, keep up he good work

Format wise, I like the previous BBS version. But after great length to adjusting to this one I don't want anymore change! :D No change is good, that's why google looks like the way it is... No moderation, no censorship is the way to go, law permitting perhaps... :o
