What an awesome day.

Firstly, thanks to Kon and the guys at High Octane Performance, great job and service. Was great meeting them, and sure to send some work therir way soon.

My day started just after 7am, fuelled up and headded onto the boreway right to Diamond Creek. Passed Diamond Creek at 8am, rode stright through, turned across Kangaroo Ground, Christmas Hills, Yarra Glen and on to Healsville by 8:30am. As we all know, Healsville is the gateway to the black spur :D

Being that I had 2 hours to kills, I set about doing full lenght laps, rather than u-turning at the half way car park. This is great fun. The first section is constant radius turns that double back, followed by open sweepers to the car park, then head back up hill through a few hairpins and opening up again. I ran a few laps, gaining confidence in the M3s and grinning every time the third gear power wheelies occured.

As time passed, the road got a bit busier, so I occupied myself with laps of the half, finally leaving around 10:30am - just as Mr Plod hid in the bushes. A rapide blast through Yarra Glen, Christmas Hills and Kangaroo ground and I was in Diamond Creek heading for High Ocatane. 11:50 and Lamb souvlaki later I am greeted by the shiney happy people of KSRC.

Stereo set bench mark for the day on the Dyno as he needed to be in Geelong, followed by a pair of ZZR600s, and a 1976 z900. Benno's 2008 R1 upped the ante, followed by a smart looking Ltd edition 636. Soon enough I was on the dyno, with fingers crossed my 10 would trounce the Yamahahaha. It fell just 2.4 HP short, with a respectable 142.4Hp at the wheel. I was follwed on the dyno by an 06 R1, a ZX9, CBR600RR, a 2 stroke Yamahahah and a ZZR250 - I think that's everyone - yell out if I missed ya.

Loudest pipe of the day goes to T's ZZr600, Best exhaust note I think was Benno's R1, closely followed by the Micron fitted limited ed 636.

I"ll let everyone else post their figures, pics or videos. Was great to meet everyone, and a fun fuelled day on the dyno. I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did and that High Octane get as much new business as they deserve for their hard work.

Was a great day! Thanks to Tape for stepping up like the bitch he is and cooking the bbq!

Not a bad set up! I was very impressed. My figures were about "expected" for my bike. Mike's bike was the only thing that came close! Eelko's was 3rd, with Pino's R1 running stupidly rich and only pulling 122 or there bouts. Be interesting to see what he does with a PC3!

Don't forget to add +19% to all those figures!

That's 172hp or there abouts! :D (Apparently thats what they use to bring it inline with Paul Taten's Dyno - the one they measure all things off *apparently*)

T, your ZZR is one of the loudest things on this planet I think! Big thanks to Mal and Kaz for organising it!

Thanks to all that attended and also big thanks to Kon and john for putting it on and doing a good job as usual.Well the old nine lives even after not having a tune since 2002 it is still putting out 80 horses at the rear wheel when the 19% is added.I would hate to see the result of the zx9 if it hadnt been tuned for 6 years :D I have also attached the run it did in 2002 and with the differance being zero i think it will live another 32 years ;) but i would be happy if my performances are the same in 32 years

Mike's Gumby works out to be 169hp. Elko's was 161 or 164hp (I think his best result was either 136 or 138). Unfortunately no sports barges big fella.

Did I mention the mighty Yamaha R1 was 172hp?

Fun day.
I'm pretty pleased about my 21 year old TZR250 getting 39.5 hp at the wheel, with a fair bit of clutch slip. It just revved straight into the redline when it hit the powerband, and on the torque plot it shows. Torque starts rapidly rising and then suddenly drops to a constant level while the roller revs climb. I'll post the plot when I get around to scanning it.

What's this 19% factor? I thought it was to estimate flywheel power?
