It's not always cock and bull. There was a story of a woman in the UK who was getting divorced, and her huspand was getting really possisive over the Jaguar XJS they had in joint names. She sold it for £15 ($40AUS) just to spite him.

Yeah but since this was an 06 R1 located in Tas I have my doubts. Even in Tas they have accomplished a better grasp of Engrish than this dude. :D

Another reply -

I will ship my bike from Darwin.
Like i told the total price is AU$5,300 including
shipping and handling so all you must to do is to
confirm to eBay just the deposit AU$3,500.
When eBay announce me the funds are in
the system i will start the ship to your address.
You have ten days to test my bike and after the
inspection period in case you don't want to buy my bike then you will be refunded and i will pay the ship back to my address, but in case that you are satisfied then you must to confirm the rest of the money AU$1,800.

P.S. I just contacted eBay to send you some instructions regarding this deal.
Please to give them your full name and shipping address and then they will
contact you with all the informations.
Or you can give me your full name and shipping address and
then i will contact eBay with your details and they will send you all
the informations(invoice for payment and some instructions). You have ten days to test my bike and after the inspection period in case you don't want to buy my bike then you will be refund and i will pay the ship back to my address.

And my reply
Re: Yamaha R1 advertised in Autotrader

I will be in Darwin this coming thursday for 10 days for work. Perhaps I can view the bike then? If it is all ok I can then send you the money and then ride it back home to Hobart. This will save you from having to ship it.
Have you had any other interest in this bike?

Thank you
Stephen

So far I have changed my name three times and I have even changed the bike! Lets see if they notice.

The first step is to make the deposit of 3500$AU and after i will recive the confirmation of the payment you made on the agents account then the shipping will begin, you will have 10 days to test the product and if like it then you will make the rest of the payment, if you do not like it or it's not what you saw then you will get your money back. I will guarantee for your money and for the product.

P.S :If you are realy interested to buy my bike then please give me your full name and shipping address and then i will contact eBay and they will send you all
the informations.
