Re: Electric bikes
Gotta luv the last one, with the engineer doin a burnout then launches into a car at speed. Then blames the throttle getting stuck on.....
Mawahahahahahah. 155 mph is damn quick for an electric bike.

Re: Electric bikes
haha that last one is funny as hell although a burnout just isnt the same without the engine noise to go with it.. Dam that thing looks like it can accelerate rather quickly though

Life is too short for traffic.

I guess peak oil may make these things more viable.

Re: Electric bikes
Why do they insist on making them look like R2D2's bastard love child? The first one is a fugly piece of Japanese Transformers pseudo-robotic crap
.
...the second two are drag bikes, they look relatively normal for a drag bike...to me anyway
When they look like a 08 ZX10R (or indeed, a 2006 Hornet), handle like a 10R and accelerate like a 10R and all you will need is an extension cord and a six-hour/overnight charge for a day's ride then I'll hand over the dough.
You'll need some type of loud stereo system with a speed-coupled rev-simulator otherwise we'll be mowed down in our hundreds, talk about stealth...quiet AND deadly!

Re: Electric bikes
a few reasons
1) range, 20km aint enough for me to get just to work
2) top speed of 40km/h just doesnt cut it with 80km/h roads
3) looks like r2d2 humped a razor scooter
4) (nearly forgot) have you SEEN the pricetag on a segway?

But seriously, how much of a dweeb can you look and still be willing to appear in public?
