Tasmanian KSRC members
Hi all,
I am about to be moved from Melbourne to Hobart with work and may very well be looking for some riding partners in Tas.
Are there many around and what are the roads like to ride on?
Any special routes like the Spur in Melbourne?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Cheers,

Hiya. There are a few of us scattered around the state, 3 or 4 that I can think of close to Hobart. As for the roads - well the place is full of hills and valleys. Does that give you a hint?
and this is inside a day trip...

ahoy green10, I myself am from hobart also and hopefully have myself another green machine very soon. There are a few tassie people and more so hobart people...
Netrider is another good place for Tassie bikers and often meet up at "Joe's Garage"
We are mostly very cheerful characters down here, so let us know when u arrive and hopefully we can organise a ride, show u some nice roads!

Yup theres a couple of us down here in hobart, gimme a yell when you get here if you're up for a ride and dont mind riding with a little 250
As daisy points out there arn't really specific routes cause there are ALOT of twisty roads within 100km of hobart. Best trip so far was the trip from Hobart to St helens over elephant and st something pass, longest straight was maybe...... 1km? That road is heaven mate
Hey daisy, you said in another thread that you recognised me from my helmet rather than my bike, what bike/colour do you ride?if you're the one i think you are ive seen you around quite a few times

A while back Daisy and myself did a ride along nicholes rivulet then along verona sands.... if u r up for a fast ride verona sands is the way to go, big windy corners...
If u want a do a big long day ride. Hobart to Coles bay.... the last section of road after swansea before coles bay has HUGE wide dipping sweepers and its a very fast section of road but magical! plus coles bay is a good stop after! It took us 7 hours there and back!

Check out the old farts club.http://hobartulysses.com/ They do set rides. Not saying you should ride with them. You may get some idea for a ride or two. Down here all we do is ride in any direction and you will get a very pleasant ride
