Personalised plate? what's your opinion??

Post by Burky »

Thinking of getting plates for the 10 (mainly to ditch the Yellow stand out like dogs balls standard).
Nothing stupid, if i get them i would be paying anyway so i might as well get what i want. Want Metalic gold on black.

It's probably been done before but things change and so do opinions

Let the opinions flow

Funny you should bring that up tonight Burky - I rang the local RTA today to find out the cost of 'personalised' plates here ....

FMD !!! its OVER $2,000 for a set of 'personalised' bike/car plates here !!!!!

You can get 'custom' plates ie 2 letters 3 numbers eg JC 666 for only $300.

But if you want GOS 1, then thats 2 large  :x :x :x

what a fuckin' joke. I think you guys in NSW can get these for a coupla hundred bucks ??

:(

I think Vic is a 1 off payment, not annual. After that it's just rego

Oh well, all this may have to be standardised if they bring rego and licence into line across all states See Smitty's post.

I got mine for $50 a year I think, although it's just a black and yellow.

I reckon they're OK.

Get Strika to give you some suggestions though, he's really good at coming up with plates

It's $335 in WA unless you want a "name" plate (ie with your name on it) then it's $735.80

but that's a 1-off fee. After that you own and can trade them if you want.

I haven't bothered - as Neka said it's too distinctive and makes things easier for certain parties to recognise said bike again...

My plates are gold on black. They were an anniversary present last year.

Of course 2 weeks after I got them I sold the black bike I had and bought the red one.........

They look great tho.
Ain't nuthin to see here..... move along
