GPX750 Squid dumbarse encounter

Post by Strika »

I had an encounter today which really makes me wonder about if Motorcyclists really are invisible? :?

Up in the Hills in one of the towns is a road with two roundabouts about 200 metres apart. Halfway through the second roundabout at a very, especially by my standards sedate and appropriate speed, a guy wearings a pair of shorts and runners with no gloves, carrying a pillion on a Black GPX750, pulls out right in front of me! :x

I managed to pull it up a few feet from him as he accellerated gently. :x

I thought we as motorcyclists were aware of our own kind? Perhaps he was a tin topper who borrowed his mates bike to run down to the shops?? Dunno, but he copped an earfull before we got too far down the road! He just had this dumb look on his face. I seriously don't think he even looked, let alone saw me. Dipshit! :x

Rant over!

On a happier note......... :D I pulled (In a closed environment off public roads of course) a couple of almost passible stands today! One I managed to get to stand up over a crest at 1.80 mega gazzelles!  Dangerous Dave was even impressed

Got the clutch dip sorted, now have to control the balance point apart from just using power and also get shifting right so I can maintain it! Clicked and held 2nd for a good 100 metres for the first time today. Noice!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Proper motorcyclists are aware of everything. We have to be for our own safety.

This guy obviously isn't aware of his own mortality.

Perhaps a lesson that everyone makes mistakes.

I had a semi pull out in front of me today - and not pull out at truck pace, I mean he had a runup and wasn't afraid to use it!
