Anyone remember Steve Partlett??
While filling up with fuel in Goulburn this week, I looked up and saw a Pic of a Z1 R in race trim on the wall of the office in the servo. It looked like a Bathurst photo. So I asked the guy who it was? He said.."It's me"!!! it was Mr. Steve partlett himself! The pic was taken at the 1980 bathurst race where he qualified on the front row!!!!!
I was gobsmacked and might even go back through on the way home to say g'day!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

You idiot! Can't ya read? The question asks who remembers him, not who doesn't remember him, or who wasn't old enough to remember him! Now fuck off!hoffy wrote:fark strike, were not that old

Didn't do Bathurst in 1980, it was one of the only years I missed from 1979 - 1985......

Small world Strika,
Steve Parlett did the first rebuild and bore out on my Z1R motor back in 1980, and I picked up a heap of parts (Z of course) that Lee Roebuck had lying around in his workshop in Goulburn, I think Steve used to alternate between working in his father's garage and Lee's bike shop.
I used to ride from Canberra when I lived there so I could get good service and good advice. I think some of his relatives live down here on the sth. coast.
Cheers,
Tony
Now that's going back a while is'nt it ???

You can grow old, but you don't have to grow up.
