Something to stop the scumbags
Not new I don't think but I haven't seen these before so thought it might be interesting. We got approached by these guys to become a dealer, a little odd given that we're a wholesale steel distributor but there you go. Might be worth a look. Pretty expensive though

It looks nice, and I think chaining a bike down is the best security method, but there strenght details concern with hacksaws and bolt cutters. The last chain I got, they harped on about time taken to cut with an angle grinder.
The ground anchor is bolted down with two 12mm bolts. My last anchor was a 60mm diameter hollow tube that was set 200mm into concrete with 4 5mm crossing pins and had a 150mm square plate just below the surface. It looked a little like this...

I used to live in S.E. England where the sports bike market was huge and so were the number of bike thieves. They used to internally pad pannel vans, travelling in groups of 3, lift a bike into the van and drive off. If it was alarmed, once in the padded van no-one could hear it. The best deterrent was a bike they simply couldn't lift.WRT_GPX wrote:a little overkill but i like it.
