Only been to Broadford, and the longest straight isn't long enough to reach those speeds. But it does lead into Crash Corner so wouldn't want to be going too fast anyway

Hey Mike, I beg to Differ!!! 220 is easily achievable on a 600 or a super!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

220 in an 80?? Idiot

The writer could get his facts straight too though. In NSW the capacity limit is 660cc for L's, restricted power to weight

the original article stated:

December 27, 2006 11:47am

A P-PLATE motorcyclist has allegedly been clocked riding at 220km/h - 140km/h over the speed limit - on Sydney's north shore.

Police said the 28-year-old Roseville man had had his licence suspended and was charged with dangerous speeding and riding a motorcycle too powerful for a P-plate rider.

The man was allegedly riding a 1000cc Suzuki despite P-plate riders being restricted to a maximum of 250cc.

He has been bailed to appear in North Sydney Local Court on January 23.

Highway patrol officers said they stopped him in a 80km/h zone on the Warringah Freeway about 4.55am (AEDT) today.
the police release stated
P-plate driver detected 140km/h over speed limit - North Sydney

27 December 2006

A p-plate motorcyclist has been caught travelling 140km/h over the speed limit on the North Shore this morning.

About 4.55am, highway patrol stopped the motorcyclist on the Warringah Freeway at North Sydney after it was allegedly seen travelling 220km in an 80km zone.

The 28-year-old Roseville rider was arrested and taken to North Sydney Police Station.

He was charged with speed dangerous, p-plate ride prohibited cycle (1000cc Suzuki motorcycle) and has had his licence suspended.

He was granted bail and is due to appear in North Sydney Local Court on 23 January 2007.
