hey fallen angel, strongly suggest u take one for a test ride first, see if ur comfortable on it. i bought a 1991 ZZR600 and was too heavy for me & just wasnt practical in that sense .. i couldnt move it back or forth (wen in neutral/parked) even tried the whole grab the front brake and try and bounce the bike back.. nope.. nothing.. ended up selling it and going back on a twofiddy (for now anyways).

Weight and power is the massive difference between the 2 bikes, Colette sold hers primarily for weight reasons I belive, although she would be better expanding on that.
Mine's a 96 model and it weighs a heap, Karen's is an 04? model and probably weighs less than mine...

Have to admit.. love the ZZR but shes a bit of a elephant in the weight department. I do the paddle paddle on my tippy toes, and have had a couple of OH SHIT moments n done the static drop. Twice
I also have a 95 ZX6, while its slighly taller.. mucho lighter n I can acually wheel it about without freaking out.

Apart from the weight issue. In regards to height it is generally more a confidance thing than getting more of your feet on the ground .So instead of buying something really heavy just for seat height maybe become more confident and upgrade to a higher and lighter bike when you feel ready.Just my 2 cents worth

Gotta agree with that, almost logical even....z900/zx9 wrote:Apart from the weight issue. In regards to height it is generally more a confidance thing than getting more of your feet on the ground .So instead of buying something really heavy just for seat height maybe become more confident and upgrade to a higher and lighter bike when you feel ready.Just my 2 cents worth
