What has changed...Strika wrote:They don't appear to be even attempting to disguise the blatant discrimination they curently have towards motorcycle riders.

Strika they'll probably just back off then try to catch you in the straight.
They know many riders will take them on, once they have your rego your gone anyway, or use the radio and grab you somewhere else.
Motorists of any description are an easy target, for governments and law enforcement.
less effort for more reward.

Good to see the powers that be getting their priorities right. Leave all the violent crimes and gangs and whatnot alone and go for the evil motorcyclist.
You know I cannot believe these individual cops themselves don't have more moral determination to do the right thing. What a world we live in.

..........................Leaving Sat Am for a little run if yr interested and are not going to the Island sat. Hoping all the cops will be on the peninsula and Sth Gippy rather than in them there hills!!!!!!
And Hemi- Moral Determination is not listed in the Victoria Police training Handbook, so perhaps it's something they screen out during induction?
I shouldn't say that, as I have a couple of mates, one

thats just plain rude ... if someone asked me for my license like that.. id probably tell him to at LEAST say please... take my sweet ass time looking for it.. n give him death stares all the way there n just b a plain bitchStrika wrote:Just had a phone call from a mate, the unmarked GSXR's are on the spurs now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
He and his partner went for a lap of the spurs last saturday. He rides a BMWk1200 and she rides a Monster S4R!!!! She rides SLOWLY, and so does he. They are not ridge racers, just tourers. Going up lake mountain from Marysville, they were both pulled over. As was EVERY single bike which went up. They pulled over every single one. And apparently, the drill was not pleasant from the officer issueing the "Commands".
It apparently went something like this........ Officer waves down rider, rider pulls over. Officer states in a rather rude, threatening and abrupt manner, "Licence"! This was how he approached every single rider. They had a radar as well to check the speed of each bike too.
His partner found the whole experience quite intimidating. She is a 50 year old woman, who is very softly spoken and also quiet a warm and nurturing person, so I guess she could be a little sensitive, but my mate reckons she was shaking like a leaf and the cop had her in tears.![]()
Dunno about anyone else, but if a member of our finest ever does that to my darling bride, i'll be dragging them through as many complaint mechanisms as I can, and attempt to make their lives as miserable as possible!.Where they get off I dunno? I am sure that's not how they train them in the academy?

Yeah I would have to agree FA. This couple are not hoons, or troublemakers and don't fit the stereo typical mould of a biker. They are just quiet, cruisy motorcyclists. I have been for a ride with both of them. He is as slow as a wet week, and she is slower. He rides at a pace where she can keep up, so they weren't speeding! Police officer was just rude.
Maybe Aardvark could let us in on the best way to handle this certain officer???? C'mon Aardvark, what should and shouldn't we say to a rude prick like this????
BTW, please make sure no-one tars em all with the same brush. One of my bestest buddies has been a Vic Police officer for 18 years, and he's a decent bloke who is fair. So they are not all arseholes, just this particular one. Apparently he has a dutch sounding surname, keep an eye out for him.
He is also the one who fancies himself a bit as a rider, and has allegedly taunted other riders into a play and then nailed them with a fine!

AT 11.230am Corner of Frankston Dandy rd, and Thompsons Rd
2 police bikes, RED trail bikes. Sorry no idea on make, barkbusters over handlebars
The officers were slim build, wearing darker then light blue but not navy once piece jumpsuit/overalls. Small black backpack, white helmets, black lace up boots. No marks on bikes at all.
Police logo on side shoulder/arm.
