I've done the world a favor
My brother in law has recently come into some money and announced to me he was going to buy a Harley.
I remained calm and asked him why he would want to do such a thing to which he could offer no logical answer. Yesterday he called me and said he was looking at a daytona 995 and a zx14, but the zx was a bit more than he wanted to spend. Instantly I said "buy a 12. They're on sale at the moment, much nicer than the Daytona and you'll have a brand new bike." He thought about it for a second and said "yeah. I like the nose on them. I'll go have a word with the dealer." It feels good to know I've done my bit for humanity.
Real bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway.

Some other monied barstard (yeah Im jealous) trying to get back his youth that was squandered learning and getting an education while we were out being idiots ?
Are you SURE you did him a favour ??
Same as above, one hope he has the experience and NOT just the money.
Anyone thats first thought would be a Harley is unlikely to survive very long on a 12, his first mistake is liable to be pretty major.....
Mind you if it sits in the garage and is only ridden to the corner coffee shop on Sundays.

Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

He's been riding on and off for 15 years and when he's had a bike it always been an older sports bike or a trailie (there's actually a 250 kwaka dirt bike residing in his shed at the moment), so I was wondering what the f%ck has was thinking when he said he wanted a hardly dangerous. It's going to be his daily ride as driving his 400 cube Pontiac Parisienne isn't proving very economical. I must admit I have an alterior motive in convincing him to get the 12. He has a bad habbit of getting money and then over extending himself. So if this happens I'll be happy to take it off his hands.

Had me worried there for a moment.
Yep help him get the 12..
..help him overextend himself
...get it cheap...
sounds like a great plan to me.
But you should have let him get the Hog, do as above, get THAT off him cheap and get TWO 12's, one for Track and one for drags....
...ah does lifes GET any better ??
