A hell of a week

Post by Colette »

Today has capped off a really crappy week for me bikewise...it started with a puncture in my rear tyre last week on the way home from work (then a 3 hour wait for a friend to bring a trailer and pick the bike up)....
After having the tyre plugged, it still seems to be leaking..

Then on my way home tonight, a farkin cabbie knocked my rear tyre and I went down. Luckily I managed to get back on but rode home with oil all over my boots (don't know how I made it home intact).

When I got home, I realised that I have a major oil leak from the casing being cracked, so I'm now up for repairs I can't afford :(

Sometimes I feel like giving it away...I probably won't but at the moment I am thinking about it.

Sorry for the venting, but I m sure others have had similar experiences when nothing seems to go right with the bike

Sorry to hear that. :( But it's just a temporary thing :) . Just remember, the next time you are on your fav bit of road, with the perfect weather conditions, feeling really good about yourself and having a madly enjoyable time...all that shit will be forgotten. :D

Aw, shitty!

Did the cab stop, or keep going? did you get his details/rego, or did it all happen too quickly? Poor bugger.

Dave has offered his help if you'd like a hand with repairs - the least we can do after your friendly SMS support last month.

Thanks Cath and Dave, I really appreciate the offer, but it's a bit far to come to do repairs! Will have to get the bike trailered to Caringbah on the weekend if I can.

Yep Jase, I think you're right ;)

that's a bad week alright Colette, what a shitty run!

Hope you get the bike fixed up soon, and don't forget to check the rearshock, they often get damaged in a rear-end biff like that.
