I had it parked underneath, close to a brick wall, i had noticed the bike had been moved in the morning but did not bother to check.
It turns out one of the girls wanted to 'pose' on it, so they actually took it off the sidestand and sat on it, but they fell towards the brick wall and the bike got stuck against the wall hence did not hit the ground. When i got on it Monday morning to ride to work i found the broken fairing, tons of scratches etc.

What happens if "little johnnie" hops on your bike in a public carpark or simillar and tips the bike over on top of him, who is responsible for his injuries?

Commonsense would say it's little johnnie or his parents responsibility for any injury, but for some reason I can see little johhnies parents being outraged about their spoilt sh*t being injured that they would try to blame you and claim any medical expenses on your insurance.

Is it simillar to someone breaking into your home and then sueing you if they trip and injure themselves? If it was unstable ground or simillar could the bike be considered dangerously parked or not properly secured?

"We need to prevent an American system at all costs. An example of a few years ago in USA, a theif breaks in to a house through a skylight, lands on a knife and sues the owners for a fourtune. The two reasons for sueing, firstly for not having a safe home and secondly for loss of income. This family had to pay the criminal for the money he would have made by breaking the law. We should bring in at least two new laws, one you lose all right to sue for compo when breaking the law, and a standard warning/disclaimer sign should be completeley binding."

Another question is the legality of giving little johhnie a boot in the ar*e hard enough that he wont be sitting on any seat for a month or so let alone someones bike seat. But I think I already know the answer to that question.

hehe i think weve agreed on that...but i also love the look on their face when they ask mum or dad if they can sit on ur bike and ya help em up...its priceless...especially good if mums a hottie...karma is a great thing, and when i was in sydney visiting my mum & sibblings my 3 bro and sis (aged 12-6) were checking out this fully sick rice machine, and the 3 young wogs were sitting beside it looking tuff and cool...but then one came over, opened the doors, let all 4 kids sit in the car, cranked the stereo & turned the tv on for em...it made their day...i like feel good stories like that...im gunna go feel me..im good...

Mate sorry if I upset you. I was reeaally careful, thats why I slip it under the pillion seat so I don't actually have to touch the bike. I was parked next to you on the black zx7r.

Mate its pretty safe parking your bike there especially if there are other bikes there, we can see them from the cafe we are at and we keep a constant eye on not just ours but any bike there, kindda like community watch.

Once again sorry mate, but welcome to the forum anyway.

Regards

Frank
Thanks heaps all,

Your all so welcoming! This is a really cool forum in contrast to some others, not naming names. Frank, I wasn't upset just a bit ambivalent, i realised i was being petty and at the same time i REALLY appreciated the contact to get onto this forum. I just thought i'd see how others view such things.

Cheers Frank, I have you to thank for joining up to be member of this great site and keen to ride with some Kwaka Brethen, can't wait. I'll shout you a beer to return the favour when we meet. Oh, and i hope i didn't disuade anyone from leaving stickers/msgs to welcome strangers to this site, i thinks its a very important and essential way to meet fellow riders and i wouldn't want people to stop cause of my post.

Hi Andy

Yeah we are a pretty easy going bunch here, as long as you have a sense of humour you will fit right in. Don't worry I haven't given up tagging bikes just yet.

What part of Sydney are you from?
