that'll be unreal when you finish it. make sure you re-instate the 'hoover' tubes tho! they're what made this model special!

is it worth rebuilding the old zxr engine? it would cost lots and there are other options as far as power plant goes...

theres a 98 zx9r engine on ebay at the moment... (no, its not mine) that would make more than enough power for the chassis.

i'm about to put a 98 zx9 engine into a 95 zxr streetfighter chassis, so i'll be sure to stay tuned...

I don't know for sure but I didn't think the 98 + zx9r motor fitted into the zxr 750 chassis as its too wide. I know the 95 to 97 zx9r fitted quite well..
I've seen that coversion on 91 to 2000 zx7's unfortunately for Mick I've never seen it on the 89... :-)

Heres some info.

I have one

Tape - about the motor. The H1 motor was a retuned GPX750 motor. From what I can gather, the overseas H1's had the letters "H1" in the engine number, whereas as ours have the "FE" letters instead. The "FE" lettering in the engine number signify it as being a GPX750 block. So I guess a GPX motor may fit straight in.

I hope this helps.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Nah Stereo, still is in same condition as the posted pics due to having a holiday.

The project starts now, so all will be annoyed with stupid questions of "how to and what if's", but I'm sure with your knoweldge of bikes you will be of major assistance as will many others.

cheers

Your right, the more i look at it, the more it *DOES* resemble a GPX750 donk :D.

Does this mean i can drop a zx9 into the GPX 7fiddy chassis?
