ZXR750 big bore options

Postby Fifer » Mon Sep 15, 2014 10:28 am

To save the 750 kit motor full of rare bits the logical thought is to put a warm early 900 in (I’m racing 10 year old 1000’s so extra poke is needed).

Or, given I’ve got ¾ of a spare mostly stock motor lying around, build another 750 based engine…..does anyone know the big bore options? 860 ? Who’s making them and are they race specced or more road orientated??

Or put another way, if you were not relying on kit parts or slotting a 900 in, what options would you look at to build a 750 based race motor that could put out 135-140 rwhp??

just race the good motor and enjoy it, no point having a shit hot motor on your work bench just for keep sakes, put it on the bench when its worn out

That's one school of thought and I agree with that in a way, but maybe its better kept until P7 comes in ?? :D

Either way I doubt I'll get too near a flat 40 at EC mate! I'll give it a try though......
