ZX9R F1-F2 Stock Exhaust

Postby z3149441 » Sat Jun 07, 2014 1:08 pm

Hi Sports Riders,

I am looking for a stock link pipe (pipe that goes between the headers and the muffler) and a stock muffler for a 2002 - 2003 ZX9R (F1-F2).

Had a ring around the wreckers and tried a 2000-2001 and they are different (DAM!).

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers

Question.

Does the F series share the same exhaust as the E series ?

Don't think so.
IIRC the difference is the number of bolts that join the can to the link pipe.

mmm, strange. Why would they change something for change sake ? It's essentially the same bike.
As I start coming to terms with my E series I'll be able to offload some more opinions about it then I guess.
Cheers !

The difference is that the way that the muffler slides onto the headers, on the e models, the muffler slides inside the headers. On the f models the muffler slides over the outside of the header. The only thing that I can think of is that the exhaust flow may be better?
