I picked up this Kawasaki 1990 ZXR750H2 last week.

Looks like a good project and nice to see another ZXR coming out in P6 750 class to stop it becoming a GSXR cup. Capt Slow on this forum already races a ZXR so he may have some advice for you (or you for him!)

What is the plan re work to do, mods etc??

What is the plan re work to do, mods etc??

She'll be pretty much stock other than race glass, rear sets, braided lines and the usual race prep items.
She's stripped right down and I'll be checking through everything as I go.
To date, the motor, gearbox and clutch are well in spec, the forks, rear shock and brakes are disgusting.
Most of the frame parts are out for blasting at the moment, should see them next week.
I'm mainly aiming at having her reliable on track later this year then, we'll see

I watched this bike catch fire in the pits at the Island Classic last year! Murray West was riding it (not when it caught fire...), dunno if he's the owner aswell. it was advertised recently, I think they were after 12 grand which, err, I thought was a wee bit optimistic...

I'd love to get a H2 or the like but have just got a ZXR M, have another bike that I've had for years and STILL haven't got on the track yet so the odds are slim!

Yep, Murray still owns it.
He's over at the Phillip Island Classic at the moment, I'll catch up with him next week when I pick up my frame, etc.
