For those that have fitted an extended swingarm or swingarm extensions what have you done about the ABS sensor??????

Brake line and chain no problem but the ABS sensor looks to be an issue

Any ideas appreciated

cheers
Max

Well there appears to be enough spare cable to run at 70" WB. Maybe Mr Kawasaki anticipate some of these bikes might get extended :D :D

sorry mate for slow reply.
They are just a cheap EBay product and only got here today after 25 days since order. They do appear to be well made but I will get a guy that knows to have a look first before I fit them. I would like to get it ready to run next week but looking at Willow Bank site I may have some issues. I don't own a full set of leathers I can fit into any more and the only gloves my banged up fingers will get into I doubt would comply with the regs

Swingarm extensions from http://www.ebay.com/usr/fuqua2amo
they were listed as
2012 ZX14R Swingarm Extensions & 36" Brake Line, Swingarm Extension, ZX14-R

Fit and finish are excellent
but there are a few issues.
The kit includes an extended brake line. for the 2012 ZX14R it DOESN'T fit so don't but the complete kit. It is a line with a banjo fitting on each end and that don't work
You will need to chase up a brake line.
The Allen head screws are all imperial, typical yank manufacturing, just to hard to get metric screws I guess.
There is no threaded hole for the brake line bracket, no big deal I can do that myself but shouldn't have to.
There is enough (just) length in the ABS sensor line if you remove it all and re route it.
You will have to remove any type of Number Plate mount, there's just not enough clearance for the tyre if the suspension is down.

How good do they work?
If I can get a brake line and finish it off on Tuesday I will run it Wednesday night and find out. A little run up the street lets me know it doesn't turn real good.

I looked at it and thought it may require an under tail upgrade for tyre clearance. Would a 6 inch extension be a better fit?

depends on how much you lower the bike I guess. with these extensions I can easily swap between 3 1/2" - 9' extension. It's just the chain that's a pain for the different length settings. Thought longer was better for the strip so it's at full length. Number plate is no issue to me as I will just load the bike on the ute. I wouldn't ride it on the street extended or lowered as much as it is now and I also have the front straps on. I have seen some guys on the street with long arms but I like the hills and twisties so it's a no go for me.
Swapping back will be pretty quick as it's only a few bolts and a join link. I will leave the long brake line and just loop it. That way if I want to go to the drags under 1 hr and it's ready.
I'll get a pic up tomorrow for you to see the length tyre position

Not sure how much lower it is. Maybe someone with a stock height bike can measure and post the height.
820mm to the point of the light, bike is upright on the stand.

Had it out 2 times and no wheel standing that I can detect, launching at 4500 - 6000, I'm not much of a rider though so your results may be different
