Not sure about the best looking Ninja but I do love them. (I am restoring an 1988 model at the mo)

Yours looks sweet! Slight detuning in that model in exhausts. Might be some in airbox but can't remember. My model was detuned with small carbs and intake of airbox. Got a Tranzac 4 into 1 getting made for mine currently. :) Got rid of all detuning. :D

Really hard to get info on them. There is a GPZ900R forum (paid subscription) but have found it pretty hopeless. Asked two racers from the period who raced
them in the mid 80s earlier this week what are the cool mods. Couldn't answer as they were production racers and bikes were stock. :(

Is there anything remotely prettier than this :D. My daughter quipped that the design looks disctintively "very japanese" or manga-like and I really agree.

Changed the oil and rode it around the block. Very nice!

A busy and exciting weekend :)

Drained and changed all fluids ... seeing dirty brake oil come out is very satisfying.

Overall pretty good condition and not much to do. The previous owner fitted brand new brake pads, tyres, chain, sprockets already.

Can't wait to register as club rego and ride it. I already joined VJMC, but they require a waiting period of 3 months :(. Can't wait that long !! I wanna ride the thing at WOT not just around the block

RWC passed with flying colours! :kuda:

I've been riding around with unregistered permit. This thing is really nice to ride. Even riding at 50kph feels nice and relaxed. Not always in a hurry like my zx6r or worse R6. But as soon as the throttle is given I have to watch the speedo. 100kph is at 9'oclock or so mark!

The blacks are black and the reds are red. Nice. And it's always nice to work on a bike that has been looked after and appreciated.

There's actually few blemishes/rust/flaking which are not showing in the picture. But I'll worry about the cosmetics later :D

I also learnt not to put tarp when transporting bikes :x luckily they're fixed but it could be much worse!

Such is Melbourne in winter. There is not a lot between here and Antarctica.
At least you have a nice bike to brighten cold days in the garage and the 900's still look fast just standing still. That is a bike that can only rise in value. The original exhausts set off the bike nicely. Those muffler outlets do look quite small for a 900.
