What would a ZX7 with a ZX9 motor be worth?
I have a 2000 ZX7R that I have everything ready to complete the motor swap into it. My question is if I decide to sell it after I get it done, what kind of added value would it be? I plan on having everything mint condition when I am done, all parts painted, powdercoated, or polished, new brake pads ...

Re: 180 on a zx7r?
I wonder how many who have tried both the 180 and 190 tires have tried the exact same brand to make it a fair comparison. I would find it very hard to tell much difference between the two based on numbers. The 180/55/17 has a 4mm taller sidewall than a 190/50/17 so overall height change is so small ...

Re: zx7r front end Mod.
I could be wrong but I think the 10R forks are 41mm too. Not sure if they are any stronger, but I know either will be lighter than the stock 7R forks. I am really interested in how you are going to get the 10R motor in the 7R frame? From what everyone out there has said, it will take major ...

Re: Choosing carbs for a ZX9 motor
Thanks everyone,
I think I have decided to go with the 39mm flatslides. Now if I can find the number to the guy that had them. Can't wait to complete the swap. Once that is done right, it's off to finding new suspension bits and light weight wheels!

Re: Choosing carbs for a ZX9 motor
Thanks for the info but without having a manual, I don't know what years the corresponding series are and most people listing them for sale don't include the series, just the year of the bike they were taken off. Also, I now know that the E series used different carbs on them from the B, C, and F ...

Re: Choosing carbs for a ZX9 motor
Thanks for the reply. I guess I forgot to add the info that the motor has supposedly had a big bore kit installed. The guy I bought it from has the 39mm flatslides to go with it but I thought he was a bit high on the price until I started looking into it more. As far as stock carbs go, are there ...

Choosing carbs for a ZX9 motor
Hello,
I am fairly new here and am seeking info from any motor building guru's that can tell me the pros and cons to different carb setups I am considering for a 1997 zx9 motor I am swapping into my 2000 ZX7R. I can choose from either the stock carbs from my ZX7, a set of stock carbs from a ZX9 ...
