Re: PIPEMASTER Z1000 SYSTEM - no longer available

I asked him sometime last year about the system and got the same response. Lost power and was too loud. I dont mind the look too!

Re: What is the deal with the Z1000?

They look better in white!

I have had other bikes while owning this one, but the Zed I keep due to how much fun I have on it. Others may be outright quicker, but every time I rode something else I would always be thinking that I wished I was on the Zed at least once on the ride.

Re: Be careful out there you Dirt Heads

I sincerly wish him the best of luck. I have spent years riding the mountains and had many near misses with trees and rocks. I have been witness to some shocking dirtbike accidents from a guy impaling himself on a tree, to a severed leg, and always counted my blessings that it did not happen to me ...

Re: 2004 Z1000 Missing??

the washing it part is what sounds as a likely culprit. As already mentioned, plugs or water in the plug tubes is the first thing to check, and there are a few people who have had coils crack which will give an intermittent spark on one cylinder. The best thing to do is unplug injectors one at a ...

Re: Opinions of knowledgeable people please

I spent many years racing cross country and pony express challenges (bikes not horses you dopes!) at the top of the game, and I have had too many dirt bikes to name them all including a few years racing on a KDX200, a KTM350, TE610 and the first model KTM380. Depending on the riding you plan to do ...

Re: Why do we Aussies pay so much? Tyre Down - Kya Racing

From the other side.

At work we have problems with price difference between local and US. A product is shipped to the US where our office there sells at retail, minus GST, so 10% less. The thing is the US shops will then advterise at this price with free shipping back to Oz so we look like we are ...

Re: fuel injectors

Spray some carby cleaner inside the injector from the top, then gently tap the pintle (the little stainless thing hanging out the bottom) on something solid. Block of hard wood works well and does not damage it. Repeat many times. The only way this wont fix it is if you have corrosion which has ...

Talk about waiting for the 800's to finish racing to then bring out an 800!

I think it looks cool.

Re: Brakes gone or brake fluid- minor incident.

I cant help reading this and thinking nothing was wrong with the brakes at the time of the f-up. If the back wheel is in the air you cant brake any harder.

IMHO if you dont know what you are doing pay someone who does to get it right and stop beating around the bush. If it means a new rotor, pads ...

Re: How was your dad's day?

Awesome trip!

Originally I had planned a short solo ride to clear the cobwebs, followed by time on the lounge doing sweet FA. Instead, I hopped on a train and took my 3yo boy down to the Sydney Museum to see the dinosaurs. It was very cool to see him freaking out over how big they are, when he was ...

Re: Not Again

It will go nowhere, so why worry about it. He has to come up with a safe way of mounting the plate to every single bike ever manufactured. Not to mention none of the bikes were designed to have a front plate. There is pedestrian impact safety testing, rider impact injury reports, the list goes on ...

Re: How Legal Are....

Same. Years with an eliminator and indicators without a single issue, not to mention there is very very little on my bike that is stock standard. But then again I dont ride like a d1ck around areas where the fuzz are known to haunt, and if I am pulled for speeding (very rare, car only) I am the ...

Re: NSW helmet laws

When is the last time a copper has checked your helmet?

When was your last crash where your helmet broke or failed to protect your head?

When was the last time the ACCC did anything?

Let it all blow over and keep wearing the same helmet. They cannot introduce a new law and make all helmets ...
