i think what you're looking at is a swing arm brace - not std fitment on many bikes.

it takes forever to do properly, and then everyones sus that its a repaired writeoff. if you've still got the zzr250, don't bother, just ride it. Or get the rims polished??

+1, there's a lot of good stuff around today. if youre going for slip ons, check out muzzy, leo vince, micron, ixil, you name it. I omitted Staintune on purpose, buts that just me. Just put your stock ones on the shelf, don't dick with them, just in case you go to sell later.

i got a set in Nerang, from the motor cycle accessory shop, but the supplier was mcs, which most bike shops get stuff from. Cost was 150 for the pair, and screwed straight into the thread on the end of my stock bars, and then when I changed to fat bars, had aluminium expanders that worked well. IMO ...

my 04 z1000 has zx9 internals in the front forks - everything else stays the same ( so i'm told, bike came with it already done, but sounds easier than having a gixxer front end on a kwaka, I'd likely forget and end up buying wrong brake pads etc. ) ???

everyone has their opinion, but I reckon go for an 04-06, the 07-09 were a bit porky, and the cash you save you can put into fixing the suspension up.

I've ridden an sv650 with leo Vince pipes - sounds awesome, looks great.

Pity these dont fit on an 09 (?)

thats roughly what they reckon. Makes it a pain in the arse if your sunday ride includes 2-3 fuel stops.
