Thanks
Noel

Re: Z1R D3 Tank cap
Brad Smith adapted a cap from a D2 to a D3 I think? He had to push the mounting bolts back about 4mm or something, apparently works fine ?

Rob, if you do end up looking for one, try and get the E or F models - the last of the line and the best-developed.Kwakked Up wrote:Cracking looking 9 that one, I have been tempted to hunt one day myself

Re: Find my late Dads bike
Do you have frame number, rego number? If you do could do a rego check in each state. Could check PPSR site- $2 check will tell you if it was written off- be careful there to get the correct site- plenty will give you that info at higher cost.

Re: Dealer Slump?
there was an interesting story on facebook today, about this exact issue. Apaprently as a result of covid and the issues with public transport - heaps of punters have been lining up to buy new or secondhand bikes - the lack of stock on some dealers floors is probably directly as a result of this.

funny thing happens when you retire.........its like self-isolating without a pandemic
so when the plague hit - almost nothing changed here. In the shed every day, playing on 1 bike or another.....or several all at once

yeh that bike has been around for a while now - Sandy loves it but doesn't ride any more. I think he did this colour scheme as a tribute to the psychedelic 60's and 70's that he loved so much

Re: I.D. a Z1000 I just bought
heh Bob - if that motor is all original and complete, the B1 still had the injector ports cast into the cylinder head. Later B2 and ZX1100A1 models didn't, the injectors were on the throttle bodies.
Will have a look at a couple of 1100A1 motors in the 4th tomorrow and confirm that engine number ...

Brewster - that is a GPz1100B1 motor - 1981 vintage. Pretty early in the build range as well.brewster24 wrote:Hey Gos, can you ID this for me please mate.Gosling1 wrote:Looking forward to seeing some new pics as well
