So where is this home track? Must say the run-off looks pretty shitty....

So you guys racing then? Oh, and who is the fastest???

It's Mission Raceway, located in British Columbia, Canada. It's small and tight with very little run off in many of the corners. The closest other track is 3 ...

Re: Keyless Ignition - ZX7R

Hanson... you sure the 7 isnt a stolen bike and you just want us to tell you how to get around the fact you dont have a key???
Cynical ZXR

I know this a concern, if I had the info I'd be reluctant to share for the very same reason. I have no idea how to prove this, but feel free to look ...

Keyless Ignition - ZX7R

I'm interested in getting rid of the key for my '97 ZX7R track bike. I don't want to forget it or lose it and I really don't see the point in it anymore.

Has anyone done this before and can they provide some instructions?

I realize this is pretty much hotwiring a bike, so if you like you can ...

Uneven Brake Pad Wear

On my '97 ZX7R, I recently removed my front and rear rims in order to replace the tyres, I noticed that the front pads are worn unevenly.

On both the right and left caliper, the inside pad (closest to the rim) is worn greater than the outside pad.

I'm concerned that the calipers may need ...

re: Fuel leak at base of carbs - 97 ZX7R

I pulled the carbs, cleaning the float needle and seat, replace the o-ring and re-installed everything.
I'm going to assume the needle was sticking as quite a bit of gas was coming out, more than I'd guess a bad o-ring could account for. I didn't see any debris, but it seems to be fixed.

Thanks for ...

Re: re: Fuel leak at base of carbs - 97 ZX7R

the float needle is being kept open on one of the carbs. It can be one of three possibilities, from best scenario to worst.

1) crap holding it open
2) needles are shot
3) hole in the float

If there might be gunk in it, you can try flushing it out by running it heavily to see if that does a darned ...

Fuel leak at base of carbs - 97 ZX7R

Greetings from Vancouver, Canada!
New member and ZX7R owner, I've done several track sessions so far this year. Mounted newer race take offs on the front/rear yesterday, went for a quick run around the block to bed the pads in, loaded the bike on the trailer and whew... petrol fumes! Looked under ...
