I don't understand, stripping a running sportsbike to maybe (good luck) turning it into a dirt bike  then buying a dirt bike.
She will primarily be a naked commuter/track bike. I will only do some dirt mods to her for the purpose of being ridiculous and laughing the entire time I ...

Re: Extreme Makeover: Tyra
So finally, after putting time into my other projects, I decided it was time to do something with Tyra. I cannot have her sitting there in pieces indefinitely. Not only does it just feel wrong of me, but I need space in my shed area and the pieces that join together to make Tyra what she is are ...

Re: Extreme Makeover: Tyra
OK. A lot has happened since I last posted. Not on Tyra but other (amazing) bike stuff.
A 'mate' on this forum sold me drugs and I loved them. I do not know if you have had them before but this particular batch is called RMX 250. I was expecting mild buzz but after having my first hit on Saturday I ...

Re: Recommend a mechanic/garage?
Thread revival.
I want to get my valve clearances done, my timing chain checked and my head resealed on my '06 ZX-10R.
I hate being ripped off.
I want the dream.
I am looking for a top little 1-3 man shop that does what needs to be done and does quality work without fucking other things up or ...

Re: Extreme Makeover: Tyra
Thank you for your advice, tips, etc.
I started pulling things off, bagging the parts with labels and I momentarily had one of those, "What have I done?" moments. It happened with my last project too so I wasn't as concerned. This is what happened.

Re: Extreme Makeover: Tyra
For the record, I know:
- Tyra will not be a top enduro bike
- That this is not the most sensible idea I have ever had
- It is easier and cheaper to buy an actual dual purpose bike
On the flip side:
- This project is so ridiculous it will make me laugh (and/or cry) the entire time
- I imagine I ...

Extreme Makeover: Tyra
G'day! As some of you may or may not know, I copped a 5 year licence suspension (long story not for this thread) and I have about 2 years to go. To keep sane and to reduce levels of frustration and anger, I subscribe to the MotoGP, tracked Tyra and take her on Eastern Creek as often as I can afford ...

Re: She had no choice.
Despite our migration to NSW the early plans are a country Victorian wedding in late January followed by a honeymoon for a month in South America, before university commences in the first week of March. If anyone had a property/venue in Victoria that is free/cheap let me know. It'd be great to see ...

She had no choice.
Greetings KSRC'ers. It seems that my irresistable charms have left Princess Jennifer with no option but to say "Yes!" to my marriage proposal. She is to become my Queen so even though I have no license, life continues on in the best ways possible.

Which air compressor?
I am going to need an air compressor to pump up my motorcycle tyres.
My bike is likely to be either a ZX-6R or R6 and will be pumping up track tyres (if that makes any difference).
Compressors come in a variety of capacities, flow rates and power engines and I don't know what I will need.

Re: What is the process?
Thank you for all of the useful advice and opinions.
So I have made a very difficult decision.
We are going to sell both of our road bikes and buy a pair of track dedicated 600's so we can race against each other (the Queen and I are a competitive couple).
I am thinking either ZX-6R at this stage ...

Re: What is the process?
I was about to get very angry when I read you need a valid license to get a MA license but it turns out you don't. You can attend a 'motorcycle competency test' to show that you can ride and that will suffice. More money I expect but it will have to be done. Now to give Tyra a clean on the next ...

Re: What is the process?
So basically the judge, my barrister and the police gang raped me and my legal anus (yes, you can use that) is very sore.
No license for another 4 years and 8 months.
I have Tyra, a beautiful, reliable and modified Gumby but am thinking about selling it and buying a track bike, probably a ZX-6R ...
