How about a weekly or monthly, or even bimonthly, get together ride or coffee night, or something routine on a regular basis - this way a lot of new faces turn up and also publicity is great! Sure, its a bit restricted for the Victorian riders, but it will definitely get ...

re: Chain, chain, chain~!
I've heard similar, Mario.
I think it has a detrimental affect on the O-ring of the chain, but in a long term - but I'm no mechanic so I couldnt say what it would do precisely.
So how do you clean your chain?

re: Kawasaki - Catalunya Press Release
You'd think they would consider twice about using the same tyres - unless some sort of assurance or team sponsorship legality gets in the way of switching to another set.
But not Just Nakano, but Tamada AGAIN - his last race stopped due to tyre failure, and yet again his tyres let him down - surely ...

OK, so what do people use to degrease their chains with?
I've been thinking about using either Kero or Degreaser (TM)...
what about WD40?
Are any of these bad for the chain? Whats the best way to clean your chain?
Dr Dan

re: Moto GP [spoiler]
Bummer for Tamada - technical problems rather than the tyres, I think - the bike just sort of suddenly tired and came to a stop.
But poor Nakano! It looked so bad - wtf happened? Was it the tyres? Hope he's ok - they did say that he did not sustain any major or serious injuries, but seeing it in ...

Bending the plate, hey...?
When in Japan a few yers ago (ok, back in...1999), they had a whole shop dedicated to this sort of stuff: A similar gizmo, but a sliding roller shutter type cover would slide down within 0.5 seconds to cover the plates. Another was a signaling police radar detector ...

I have Pirelli Dragon Supercorsas(SC2) on my 7. They are nice and sticky but down side to any soft tyre is reduced wear life. I am not too worried about how many k's i get out of a tyre as my bike is not used for daily transport but is more of a weekend toy used for more extreme riding and future ...

Re: re: Plastic welders...?
$200 is better than fucking up the whole fairing
Yeah, apparently its the cheapest and best quality weld I'll get. The guy is excellent, and I've seen his work before (i'll get some pic's).
Other than that, I'm thinking of painting the bike myself with possibly silver/chrome flames...hmm ...

re: Plastic welders...?
Nah, i just figured I might fuck it up, so I had it delivered to a professional welder - the job is going to set me back $200 inclduing the R side fairing (without painting).

Inverse forks
Why is it that the ZX 2c & ZX 7's had inverted forks whilst the bigger 900 zx9's dont?
Can you get inverted forks for the front to make it lighter and more agile?
