they discussed this on kawiforums before but i cant find it at the moment, you might want to give it a try. basically they were having problems with air trapped in the system after an oil and filter change, and the oil pressure light stays on after the bikes been started.

na fuck cutting that thing off.

you should have no worries just putting the hoses in a position so they are on the other side of the "tab" or whatever they call it (if they need to be there that is).
if it really does cause trouble (which it wont) two minutes with a hacksaw will remove that thing ...

Installing Braided Lines

Hi all, i've recently purchased braided lines from overseas for my 636, just wondering if anyone's done the install themselves? Difficulty?

I remember seeing an install guide in an UK magazine but not sure which.
Does anyone have a comprehensive step by step guide of some sort?

cheers.

Oil Drain Plug Washer

Planning to change my oil and filter for the '05 636 this week, should i change the washer or not? i've heard i can just turn it around but i dont like that idea much.

IF i should change it can i just use any washer and what size are they? Hardened?

Not likely. As a whole, Japan is an expensive country. It's one reason why everyone's so keen to sell their consumer goods there. Most of the stuff you might be able to get in Japan will be from the US, anyway.

i haven't ridden the 07 but from all reports the power & torque are down compared to 06, but handling is sharper on the 07. But that can always be solved by getting your suspension sorted and aftermarket parts anyway.

plus i prefer the 05/06 cuz it looks meaner than the 07s, which just looks like ...
