Re: ZXR750J swingarm

J k l m swingarms are the same other than the cast centre piece on later l m ones as Brian mentioned. Advantage is the j k swingarm is lighter than the l m arm

Re: zx7 oil pump / generator chain failure

Unusual to say the least. I've never of this type of failure before. Have you stripped the engine? When you say 'no clutch' do mean the clutch would not disengage? What other damage have you found? Are you running an alternator? Very strange that the oil pump/ alternator drive chain would fail as ...

Re: Wheel compatibility

The only thing that I have to ad here is, the later P model ZX7 rear wheel is 6" rather than 5.5" on the earlier. I'm pretty sure the H models are different, maybe 20 mm axle?

Did you end up finding any Marvics? From memory your wheels aren't stock anyway are they?

Re: Zxr 750 radiator options.

Yes, as Greenman say, most likely a bent bracket or something there. Also possible that a previous owner has put a set of headers on that are a slightly different radius?

Re: Zxr 750 radiator options.

Just wondering why you'd want a smaller radiator? Any J,K,L or M radiator would bolt straight in. Not 100% sure about the later P model but I think it will too

Re: ZX7R P1-9 New Clutch or Not ?

I Don't Recall it ever being replaced but i could be wrong. I will start with the basics and flush the fluid and bleed it up its weird as you would think if it i was a bleed problem you would have the opposite problem where it would not disengage. Its as if you pull it in say 10mm and your fully ...

Re: ZX7R P1-9 New Clutch or Not ?

Yep, if it isn't slipping I'd say the friction discs are still ok. How long since the fluid was changed? I would start there and give it a really good bleed..

Re: ZXR750L3 fuel pump clicking noise

I've also heard that the aftermarket pumps are noisier than the OEM pumps.

Check that you haven't kinked the 'main' fuel hose when putting the tank back on. Have you ever changed the fuel hoses between the tank and tap? Just asking as if you have and didn't use the OEM formed hoses it will be ...

Re: ZXR750 J-K-L-M or ZX9B oil pickup wanted

Ahh that's not too bad then. I've bought a few bits cheaper through my local Kwaka dealer then what I could find on eBay. Definitely pays to check hey

From memory the rubber guide under the rocker cover wasn't too expensive either.

Re: ZXR750 J-K-L-M or ZX9B oil pickup wanted

There's a five on eBay ranging from $42 to $75 but all international and postage is The most expensive bit. Might be able to get cheaper postage if you ask them

Re: Paint codes

Hi Scott,

As far as I know the lime green is...

Colour code - 7F
Colour number - 2011

I'm not sure if brand of paint makes a difference? Maybe the above numbers will mean something to a painter?

Have you progressed any with your M rebuild?

Cheers,
Brian

The later Spring looks to be a different shape too by the look of the parts diagram. The Spring in the box at the bottom of the diagram is the '93 and the main diagram is the later ones
