Hi to all, I have an '01 ZX9r and am looking for soem frame sliders, preferable ones that don't require me to cut up my fairing. Does anyone know of any?
I was looking at the crash Knobs but they seem to only be for '02 and '03, would they still fit an '01?
I would be grateful for any help ...

'01 ZX9r Oil Filter question
I have recently picked up a 2001 model ZX9r and was givign it a look over (as there is little else to do with all of this rain around) and I noticed that the oil filter is a 6B21Honda filter. Is this a bad thing that it is a Honda filter? Should I swap it out? From what I can gather the filter is ...

New Leather Gloves
Hi to all and hope that you had a very merry Christmas.
I currently have a pair of Technic Violator gloves but they are due for replacement and was looking for suggestions.
I am looking for a full gauntlet style leather glove but don't really like the hard plastic cuffs like the latest Alpinstars ...

Re: ZX9R Ticking
Gav, it has 27,000 kilometres on it
TimMc, I was thinking something similar as it hasn't been ridden for a while apparently.
I was also thinking that it could be the reed valves? I have heard that they let extra air into the combustion chamber to help to burn unburnt fuel. Could they make a ...

Re: ZX9R Ticking
I can't hear it when the bike is in neutral. It is a soft sound, sounds kind of metallic. As I said, it doesn't necessarily change with revs (it does change with revs as you change up through the gears) as when increasing throttle going up a hill the ticking noise gets faster even though road speed ...

ZX9R Ticking
I have just purchased a 2000 Zx9R after having a Z1000 and I have noticed that I can hear what I can best describe as a ticking noise when accelerating. At first I thought that it was increasing in speed as the engine revs rose and thought that the rockers may require adjusting but when riding it ...

re: traffic light sensors
The detectors at traffic signals work by 4 or 5 loops of wire cut into the road usually in a rectangle or a figure eight. When a vehicle goes over the detector it registers a change in the inductance of the detector and the computer that runs the traffic signals registers this and the signals change ...
