Hey guys, on my trip from bris to melb I had a great crack at it, hit 350-360 without going into reserve! Mines a 2007 model ZZR250 with I think a 17litre tank? Feel free to correct that if it's not on the mark ^^ But shit I was impressed with the milage, usually fill up when I get around 280-300.

This might be a silly thing to say but have you tried the local wreckers champ?

Noticed one day my fan was going overdrive mode... Turns out the Coolant system had a leak somewhere so for new riders having the fan come on more then usual would be a good indicator that something's up.

I too was done in on Sat, my first time riding through NSW on the hume... MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, dead straight with those European style guard metal pipe things on the side, no turnoffs/ons and no cars around so without realising my speed I see an officer in the distance with his bright yellow jacket on ...

I think the guys have it spot on. My first road bike was a GPX2fiddy and I had no clue what to look for, turns out she had a few problems I wasn't aware of so when in doubt go to the pro's! ^^

Listening to the iPod under you're helmut is the same as having the radio on in you're car, that is it doesn't block out all the sounds, wind is still bloody strong and for me atleast I know I can hear everything around me fine, perhaps it's a volume or type of earphone thing?
