How much would you pay?

Postby Aussie Ninja » Wed Dec 07, 2005 3:01 pm

I was in another brands dealership killing time at lunch and I noticed they still had a black chrome VR1 helmet on the shelf. They still have it marked at $370 but I've seen graphic VR1s for $260. I need a new lid and have always liked the black chrome so I was thinking about offering them $300 cash take it or leave it. What do you guys think?

Have alook at the build date and if it's older then six months you've got a bargaining tool.

Ive got the grey/black one... I think I paid $340 at Peter Stephens... but they now have the VR2's in stock, and they are now selling those at $349... So VR1's should be cheaper there now... probably around the $300 mark...
The world is round. It has no point.

I actually have a Black Chrome VR-1 and got mine for $300.

Admittedly I got mine last year but have seen then around $300 - $320 since so I reckon the quoted price is to high.

inside the lid theres a compliance tag, with the build date in a month/year format (like a credit card)....if its more than a yr im ussually weary of it, as they reckon after 2-3yrs u should replace them...tho i only buy a new one wen i trash an old one...

Well the build date is Feb 2005. I was after a $120 Rjays explorer bag for my impending migration to Canberra. Offered them $400 for both. Done deal. :D
