Just you watch out. One day us public servants will take over the world...as soon as we get the project initation request through the review board and signed off by all the stakeholders we'll have a round table meeting and then you'll know who's the boss...and the boss's assistant, and the assistant to the boss's assistant, and the assistant to the assistant of the boss's assistant who hasn't come in yet 'cause he's taken the morning off on flextime...

Welcome back Mr Briffa.

Yeah I am pretty slow aren't I....
That probably why I chose to be a public servant so I could do things at my own pace and enjoy life.....
I have been out riding rather than sitting at home playing on the internet...
Anyway to to the lot of you... and hope to catch up soon.

You bring up a very good point there about helpers.
The people up on the hill are just puppets and the public servants hold the strings etc.
If it wasn't for the dedicated canberra public servants the country wouldn't function
When legislation etc needs to be drafted I don't see the like of peter costello writing it or signing it off, think about it.
What ever happens in Australia is a brain child of a public servant so therefore you basically do as we command get next time you meet a public servant from canberra ask 'HOW HIGH'.
I really think the majority can't be helped anyway.
Paul
