 good call. Yes, the *full* factory specifications did not include weight ( either wet or dry), and hp..........so it really should have been called the 98% factory specification sheet

230kg dry weight was quoted from 'the man'.......he also said it may change due to final specs for weight and hp not being finalised by the Big K at this stage (enter MV F4 as you have pointed out....).

If they wait too long, then in the meantime someone else will build a bigger faster rig  , and at this stage, release date has already been put back to the *middle* of next year because Kawasaki want to make sure it is the most powerful.......and they have developed a number of different HP motors, so will *probably* choose the maddest & baddest one they have made.....

Definitely not an *all-new* motor, basically a bored-out 12 with some flash *new* external covers, re-worked internals etc. When your on a good thing, stick to it :D

One thing is for sure - it is pretty *easy* to drag 225 RWHP out of a 12 motor, Yoshi cams / flowed head are a good start !

:D

So who's going a 14 & whos going a 10 ?.
Cheers Brett

ZX12R is here for 2006 by popular demand Brett.

For way less than the trade over price from a 12 to a 14 we can still have our bike and do plenty of mods to keep it at least as powerful and fast as the 14 or any other sportsbike for that matter. Still 200HP is a bit unusable really for everyday stuff, I mean the power of my 12 is hardly used to its fullest except on rare occasions. If my ego wants the 14 its purely for the figures and bragging rights.

You can't be serious???

Surely you need at least 200hp for runs to the shop to grab milk.

TOUCHE

I think this is exactly why Team Crim now takes the *long* way home on a Friday afternoon !!!

Now, back on topic. When I first heard about the ZZR1400, I was spewing !! And to add insult to injury, one of my mates in Sufferers Parasites rang me *STRAIGHT* away to ask " well mate, whats it like to own the 2nd-most powerful bike in the world......" :x , all this, less than 3 months after buying my 12

It doesn't matter at all really. I have convinced myself of this, and it wasn't hard - after all, as long as the Big K hold the title, then what does it matter ???? The 12 is everything and *more* than I expected...

but I will still hose the first one I see on the roads !!!!! just so I can sleep at night

Is there such thing as enough power? Ever? Of course I only ride a 7 so I cannot really talk. But I reckon these 14s are going to be a beast. I really hope they call it the ZX14R here in aus.

Yeah damn, forgot about the milk n bread run! And like Gos and others have said; taking the long way home from work, I forgot about that too. :?

Anyway, I am extremely happy with the bike I have and will keep it for as long as I am happy with it. 8)

Was in Cosway's today....

Good news for ZX12-R owners...

They have just recieved a 2006 ZX12-R... Production on ZX12-R's will continue AT LEAST through 2006....

Also, Cosway's refer to the ZX14 as a ZZR14...

Nice to know the dealers realise what is going on...
