A cheap power up is to get a set of twin electrode spark plugs (CR9EK) i use them on my 7 and you notice a difference straight away good for 2hp.
The ignition advancer is pretty easy to fit, take the cover off use a spanner to hold the advancer and allen key to undo the 8mm bolt then just slip it off then put the new one on, they have a keyway in them so you can only put them on one way.
If you really want to get adventrous, get the cams dialed in to factory specs (easier to do with adjustable cam wheels), motorcycle manufactures are notorious for this they can be out by 4 degrees, once dialed in you can make up to an extra 4-5hp.
You need a degree wheel and dial indicators for this one.
Little mods like this can add up, 2hp here 4hp there the next thing you know you have an extra 10hp for little money, and a bit of time tinkering in the garage.
If you need any advice on other mods just drop me a line.
Cheers,
Matt
