I have ridden mine fairly err ......carefully....errrr throughout it's ownership, and used a errrr sedate....errr method of running it in. (warmed it up and thrashed it to within an inch of it's life

) It now has 8500klms on it (been spending too much time on the racer, and Melbourne's weather really sucks

) and i have not had any problems whatsoever with it. I must admit that I run a special oil though. It is called NEO synthetic. It's an american oil, diesther based apparently

and works a treat. I have been using it for ten years and never had any lubrication related wear issues. I use it in my racers too
I troll the US forum occasionally and they also have few if any faults to report. Mostly it's operator error that I read about.
