A kwaka in any colour...

Tue Aug 30, 2005 11:03 pm

Hi All

I was given the URL to this forum by a fellow member - Hi Yoda - so i read some of the posts and found some very witty signatures and some good posts - figured I'd join in and chat with some fellow enthusiasts.

My ride - Red ZX6R currently in the shop for some repairs ($8000 worth) after an off 3 weeks ago. Can't ride at the moment due to the injuries from the off but looking forward to being back on the bike after physio (6mths) - actually hoping to get back on before then.

I am a project manager for the IT arm of a finance company - love my job, love the company - enough said.

I rode trail for a few years in my teens when I thought I was invincible and went all out to prove it and went on road 2 years ago. My first bike was a Yamaha SRV followed quickly - very quickly - by an NSR 150 which I still have and love but when it came time to upgrade, my heart belonged to the ZX6R - I was so taken by her that I placed my order a year in advance to make sure I would have one on the day I came off my Ps.

I hang out in Acland street on weekends with my husband and friends and fellow riders and due to study commitments haven't had much chance to go on weekend rides but am looking forward to that next year (MBA finishes this year). I love to learn about others' experiences, love listnening to bike stories and getting better skills through sharing of wisdom.

I went to my first GP last year where I screamed myself hoarse watching my favourite Italian take yet another flag - an experience I intend to repeat this year but this time the full 3 days.

I love animals and have a rescued dog and cat who don't seem to care much for bikes but i forgive them this little quirk of nature.

I look forward to hearing from others on this forum and at some point, when I'm back on the bike, meeting up for rides - but I am by no means an experienced rider so no nasty twisties for me just yet.

Liz

Greetings,
hope you heal quick. Speak to some of the other girls (T, Eswen and Mrs Duane come to mind) they will let you know how well the club will look after you on "twisties" rides, you'll be carving it up out there in no time!!
