I'm not sure the bits where you were off can be considered as riding Ron! More like, umm, tree ploughing. :wink:

oh dear, suddenly I feel like Methuselah........

I have been riding motorcycles for 35 years on an almost continuous basis. Started at age 8 (1970), on a Honday monkeybike at a local show. Moved onto more Honda's by 10, ATC90 and ATC110 trikes (at Port Stephens), by 12 it was a TS185 trailbike at Maitland abbatouir (spellcheck??). Got a Yammie dirt bike ( MX80 ) at about 14 I think - it was a heap of crap.

First road bike at age 16, another damn Honda.....

First REAL roadbike at 18 - RD350B Yamaha. This bike taught me how to ride, and how to fix things :shock: :lol:

First Kawasaki at 19 - H2750, and never looked back from that point :D

cheers

Started on dirt bikes at 12 (1985), Got road licence in '96 and a 750 the week after that. Have hardly ever been without a bike, and commuted to work on one since '96. Have done over 30,000k in the last 15 months and continue to rack up 500k+ per week.

It's only been about 10 months for me.

I bought a H**** VTR250 which sat in my garage for a month before I got my L's. Seeing it sit there each day and not being able to ride it was torture.

When I got my licence (even before then actually), I saw the light and bought myself a new baby. It's still torture though, seeing my bike every day when I'm in the garage and not being able to go for a run. Believe it or not, I suffer from bike withdrawals!

I just wish I had got my licence and a bike years ago when I first wanted to.

Cheers, :twisted:

About this long ->|----------------------------------------|<- 8)

From go to whoa, umm...four years nearly to the day.

I've done approx 50,000km in that time, not bad for an old saggy bottom short arse :wink:
