Western QBE, BUT, they have given me so much hassle, I will be changing to SWANN, $100 more I don't need the grief.

Shannans get the nod, $1,044.35 for the year.

And pay by the month with no added expense.

Top stuff!

What are you riding? And are you a young'un or an old'un? my insurance comes in around $800 a year, fully comp for a new zzr250, and I'm under 25.

I'm with Shannons....

They have been great in dealing with on my first ever claim...

Pity its taking so long to get a couple of silly little parts from Kawasaki...

I'm 33 with 60% no claim bonus on the car.
$16,790 insured value on the bike plus the $380 for the Bagster tank bag/cover set.
On a ZX12R.

Live at Sth Wentworthville. Probably that which stuffs it.

If I was insuring less than $10k, I 'spose that would make a difference as well.

Glad i could help Alex.

Dave, Mario and myself are all insured with Shannon's now. Two of the not at fault claims i had in the tin top were with Shannon's and they were great. Rang them, they handled everything, with no dramas what so ever.

Sounds like your being hit up because of your location or something, to me. As i said in my PM, if your doing low k's, you can get a rebate and they will give you a discount for being in a great group (club) like this.

For everyone else: I'm 33, 60 % no claim, 03 636 insured for $13k, with $500 excess and my premium is $527 pa. I have <5000k's pa usage though, because i have to use the car for work.

i was 24, rating 1 & the bike insured for $10k

Dave, what bits are they waiting upon?

me, i'm with NRMA, they've treated me well whenever i've had a claim on my car(s) (3 claims in 5 years, only one my fault). The bike is 3rd party property for $20 a month (woohoo!), a bit afraid to ask what they'd do it comprehensively for. I'm seriously considering going to shannons for the bike for comprehensive after rego renewal.

i'm wif a little place called "classic cars"....they are cheeeeap, under $400 for the year.... FULL coverage, $10,000 covered (don't know why that's so high? bikes worth less!), I do have a shiny clean record (knock on wood), i'm just over 25yo.... uh, that's about it!
Don't ask how they go with a claim though as I've never made one. (again, knock on wood.... I've got good wood to knock on, hence never having trouble.... i guess?!)
LOL... -sorry, bad joke?!

I am with Arista the over 40's deal do not commute week days and only some weekends, Bike insured for just over $16,000 for around $550.00,
that the cheaps i could find.

Thu Jul 14, 2005 12:38 pm

Yeah, reckon I'm getting a higher premium as I ride most days and am doing more than 8,000 kms a year. Don't think my post code's the best one, but I think the usage is what put it up.

Thu Jul 14, 2005 1:09 pm

I rang the NRMA today and recieved a quote via the old farts club which is almost 50% cheaper than Western QBE (the cheapest I could find at the time), I am swapping over Monday full comp insurance $286 per year. QBE($548)Swann($658) can get stuffed.

Heya,

I'd be interested to find out how you go getting insurance. I need to ring around too.

I came across Arista's number in the latest AMCN - 1300 ARISTA (1300 274 782).

Look forward to hearing how you go.
